Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
